Family Nurse Practitioner
Angela grew up outside of Knoxville, Tennessee in the small town of Oliver Springs. Her interest in healthcare began when her father was diagnosed with cancer while she was in high school. After watching her father undergo surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation, she knew nursing was the field she wanted to pursue as a career.
Angela received her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Tennessee Wesleyan College in 2006. She worked as a registered nurse in the orthopaedic and spine unit at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee for six years before returning to school to become a family nurse practitioner. She graduated from Lincoln Memorial University in 2013 with her Master’s degree in Nursing and was recruited to work with Tennessee Orthopedic Clinic in Knoxville. While practicing there, she evaluated and managed a variety of conditions. She was also a first assistant in the operating room for total joint replacement surgeries. In addition to her background in orthopedics, she has experience in urgent care and primary care. She enjoys helping patients achieve their best possible health. She is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
In her spare time, she enjoys walking on the beach, eating local seafood, and spending time with her husband, 2 cats, and 1 dog.
